The Jamaican jerk embassy in Trinidad

Nobody makes jerk like a Jamaican so, at Irie Bites, the Jamiaican jerk embassy, they import Jamaican chefs and managers along with the Walkerswood seasonings: to keep it real irie! There are always at least two pairs of Jamaican eyes watching every pot: one of the managers’, and Prophet Bob’s, looking down from the walls, if not from heaven. The only thing that isn’t jerky, because it moves so smoothly and quickly, is the line at the cashier. Telephone your order in ahead of your arrival and sidestep even that – although the free Wi-Fi and cable TV at the Ariapita Avenue Irie Bites almost makes a wait worthwhile! Try jerk chicken, pork or fish with the “sautéed something” fresh from the market. They even jerk pelau (Tuesday), curried goat (Wednesday, Saturday), oxtail (Thursday), stewed pork (Friday) and ackee & salftish (Saturday).
