Samurai’s complete Japanese ambience begins in its foyer, with the real samurai warrior’s costume. Add pockets of intimacy everywhere and devoted Old World service and you feel like royalty at Samurai.
Samurai has also perfected the only crucial element of all fine dining – the food. Watch, from the raised sushi bar, as Japanese-born chef Kenji supervises the open kitchen’s authentic handmade sushi and teriyaki. Wednesday night’s sushi buffet starts at 6pm. On Thursdays, Samurai serves up Port of Spain’s best steak night. Chefs at the sizzling teppanyaki tables toss ingredients through the air and slice and dice them as they land, delighting the eyes and ears before thrilling the palate for the entire family, especially on Sundays and Tuesdays, when there are teppanyaki specials for kids! Groups can book the private teppanyaki room for a special occasion or business brainstorm, the creative juices will flow after food this tasty.
On Fridays enjoy the Robata Japanese grill and cocktails at the Mandela Park end of One Woodbrook Place’s open air deck. Saturdays are wine by the glass (where over 120 wines by the glass are available). Samurai guests sidestep the long trek facing most One Woodbrook Place patrons with their in-house restrooms. With 732 secure spaces, parking is stress-free.
